Company
Lomar
Artisanal tannery since 1988
For over thirty years, we have been working with leather with care, passion and vision. Every product we make is the result of extensive craftsmanship, combined with a strong focus on quality, innovation and sustainability.
A story of tradition
family member
Lomar was founded in 1988 in Chiampo (Vicenza), in the heart of the Arzignano tanning district, one of the most important areas in the world for leather processing.
The company is family-run and has developed over two generations, preserving its original values: professionalism, reliability and customer care.
Over the years, we have transformed our passion for leather into a modern, internationally recognised company capable of meeting the demands of the most discerning markets.
The company is now undergoing a generational transition.
The productive heart
of the company
A technological, efficient and sustainable plant
Lomar operates in its own production plant, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and authorisations for emissions and discharges, in full compliance with environmental regulations.
All industrial waste is conveyed to the district’s technological purification plant, one of the most advanced in Europe in the tanning industry.
Our plant is organised to guarantee high production standards, optimising time and resources with constant attention to the environment and safety.
An internal process,
controlled and traceable.
Lomar’s real strength lies in its direct control over all stages of the production process.
After purchasing raw bovine leather, we process the material from wet blue to finishing.
The main stages of our production cycle:
Raw material
Our production starts with raw cowhide, carefully selected from certified Italian and European suppliers. The quality of the raw material is the basis that allows us to create resistant, durable and sustainable items.
Tincture
The hides are dyed in rotating drums, where they absorb the dyes deeply. This phase gives them uniform, vibrant and resistant colours, creating the ideal colour base for subsequent finishing.
Finishing
At this stage, we treat the surface of the leather using various techniques (spray, gemata, palissone, emery) to achieve the desired aesthetic and tactile effects: shine, softness, velvety texture or mechanical resistance.
Choice
Each finished leather is carefully selected and classified. Only items that meet our quality standards are sold, ensuring uniformity and reliability for the end customer.
